You can use the additional security options in Spotlight to control how passwords are used to access your Spotlight account, and provide an extra layer of security for your data.
Note: These options apply to all users in the account.
Note: To view or change the security options, you must have the Admin user role.
To access the security options, from the main Spotlight screen, open the Practice Settings drop-down list then choose Security.
To ensure that passwords must be reset on a regular basis, from the drop-down list choose the length of time after which you want to require a reset, then click 'Save Password expiry preference'. You can choose from 30 days, 90 days, six months or 12 months.
Tip: If you don't want passwords to automatically expire, choose 'None'.
To prevent users from re-using recent passwords, from the drop-down list choose the number of unique passwords that must be set before an old one can be reused, then click 'Save Password history preference'. For example, if you don't want users to be able to re-use any of the five most recent passwords, choose 5.
